Platystemon
Hardy Annual.
One foot.
Flowers pale cream yellow, July and August.
A low-growing annual with grey- green foliage
and single flowers, Pimpernel-shaped, of an unusual
shade of yellow.
It makes a particularly charming contrast with
Campanula speculum,
“Venus’ Looking Glass”; the
two may be sown next to each other in March, and
will flower simultaneously.
Make the soil fine, sow thinly, cover lightly,
and thin out to six inches apart.
