Tiarella
– Foam Flower
Hardy Perennial.
Six inches.
Flowers white, June.
A low-growing plant with small heart-shaped leaves,
which sends out long, slender “runners”
like a strawberry plant, and in early summer throws
up spikes of white clustered flowers like a Spiræa.
It should be planted in March, in light, good
soil, well drained, and is happy in rambling among
stones. It is propagated by carefully dividing
the root. Give a little top-dressing of leaf-mould,
etc., in autumn.
