Xeranthemum
Hardy Annual.
Two feet.
Flowers white and purple, July to October.
A hardy “everlasting”
with crisp-petalled flowers which, if cut in good
condition, will remain presentable for at least
the following winter.
The seed should be sown at the end of
April, in the open ground if the conditions are
kindly; in doubtful cases sow in boxes in a frame,
and plant out in May. In their final positions
the plants should be a foot apart.
